After that infamous time in 2009 when pop superstar Rihanna appeared battered and canceled a Grammy appearance when then-boyfriend Chris Brown physically abused her, the "Loyal" singer has turned into one of the most controversial figures in the music industry - and Rita Ora's Chris Brown collaboration has gotten the "X-Factor" UK judge under fire.
The beautiful British singer has often been compared to the likes of Rihanna, but Rita Ora's Chris Brown collab may have taken these comparisons one step too far, as she takes the stage with the rapper for joining forces in "Body On Me," as she gets labeled a fake feminist over collaborating with a known perpetrator of violence against women.
According to The Independent, the collaboration between Rita Ora and Chris Brown has seen Calvin Harris' former love (before current girlfriend Taylor Swift) getting tons of criticism, while the blonde star has defended Brown over and over.
Movie News Guide reports that the Rita Ora and Chris Brown collaboration has seen the young star under fire even in social media, as Twitter users call her a "traitor to women" among other things over working with someone with a known record in violence against women - although she continues to call herself a feminist, to the disdain of many.
According to Digital Spy, Rita Ora's Chris Brown comments have included saying she doesn't have to defend working with the rapper, as she has seen how he is around his staff and how kind he is to everyone around him - a different perspective from the one seen on the outside after the infamous domestic abuse case always surrounding Brown's name, even as he continues being successful.
"I see how he treats his people and he's a good person with a good heart and a lovely family," Ora told UK paper The Sun last June. "It's really nice that we finally got together because, regardless of what's happened, the song is just amazing."
Reportedly, Rihanna herself isn't pleased with the Rita Ora and Chris Brown collaboration, as she sees it as disrespectful to their history together - you can listen to the new song below.
