Singer-songwriter and producer, Ryan Adams, who's perceived as a master of stripped-down music covers, is definitely taking these hits to another different level as he begins recording Taylor Swift's record-breaking album '1989'.
The 40-year old musician posted an annotated note of the song lyrics from 'Welcome to New York' on his Instagram page and he captioned it "Guaranteed saddest version of Welcome to New York ever - or your tears back".

After hearing the news, the 'Bad Blood' singer immediately responded with excitement to one journalist named Hasief Ardiasyah's, who tweeted about Ryan Adams' covers.
"@hasief @TheRyanAdams is this true???? I WILL PASS OUT", Swift wrote. Adams then quickly confirmed it for the singer and replied, "Badass tunes, Taylor. We're sandblasting them, and they're holding steady,"
Taylor Swift also made a direct reply to Adams, showing her thrill about the covers. She wrote, "I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again, and I'm going to celebrate today every year as a holiday." Adams replied to Swift by teasing a short clip of his 'Welcome To New York' cover.
This short social media exchange has fans going into a frenzy, with many anticipating how Ryan Adams will interpret the chart-topping album.
It's not yet confirmed whether other members of The Smiths will lend their voices to this Taylor Swift cover album.
Ryan Adams has already produced records for several artists, including the band Fall Out Boy, Willie Nelson, Jenny Lewis and Jesse Malin. Besides being a musician, he is also a poet and has written a couple of books, including the 'Infinity Blues' and 'Hello Sunshine'.
