J.K. Rowling Birthday: Author Turns 50, Hogwarts Celebrates And ‘Harry Potter’ Cast Congratulates Her – Including 5 Weasleys And Neville Longbottom!

The cast and crew of the eight "Harry Potter" movies has gone on to make some incredible new projects, with Emma Watson (who played Hermione Granger) most notably turning into one of the faces of modern-day feminism for her work in the United Nations' "He for She" campaign - but still, the cast can take some time to celebrate J.K. Rowling's birthday!

In a Time Magazine article dedicated to the author, who's turning 50 years of age today, 17 of the actors from the "Harry Potter" movies went on to congratulate her for J.K. Rowling's birthday, including "Game of Thrones" actress Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks), Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) and the director of the first two films, Chris Columbus.

Other actors congratulating Jo for J.K. Rowling's birthday included Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and five members of the redhead Weasley family, namely Mark Williams (Arthur) Oliver and James Phelps (twins Fred and George), Bonnie Wright (Ginny) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley).

"To the woman whose imagination has made half the world feel less alone, afraid and in the dark; may the light you continue to shine always bounce back with interest," wrote actor Jason Isaacs, who played ambiguous villain Lucius Malfoy in the series. "And at a flattering angle, naturally," he added.

In the meantime, "Harry Potter" fans around the world are celebrating J.K. Rowling's birthday in all sorts of ways, with Entertainment Weekly drawing up a list of 50 things they love about the English writer, including how she'll stand up to bullying, her charity work and the fact that, like her, Harry's birthday is also on July 31!

In fact, according to "Potter" canon, Harry was born in 1980, so he's turning 35 years old now, continuing his work as an Auror.

The Telegraph is also featuring a beautiful article about the author's achievements for her 50th birthday today, including how she's reached out to fans in the years after the publication of the last book of the series - and all fans should definitely check out this lovely homage.

Congratulations for both Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling's birthdays today!
