Fans of the action-packed film 'The Maze Runner' may already know that Thomas Brodie-Sangster is a part of the young cast. The actor, who has previously played Bran Stark's friend Jojen Reed, portrays the Glader's second in command Newt.
It looks like Jojen will be meeting up with other 'Game of Thrones' cast members in 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.' The new trailer for the sequel shows two stars of the HBO hit series.
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
"In this next chapter of the epic 'Maze Runner' saga, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD's vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all."
Aidan Gillen, who is best known for playing Petyr Baelish in 'Game of Thrones,' makes an appearance as Janson. The Rat-Man tries to keep the Gladers imprisoned then tells an escaping Thomas, "The Maze is one thing, but you kids wouldn't last one day out in the Scorch."
However, out in the Scorch, they encounter a new group of people, which includes Nathalie Emmanuel. The actress who plays Daenerys Targaryen's interpreter Missandei will portray one of the survivors of the Scorch.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Aidan Gillen and Nathalie Emmanuel have never appeared in a scene together in 'Game of Thrones.' Unfortunately, Jojen Reed has already been killed off the show so 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Wars' may offer the only time that the three actors will be seen onscreen together.
'Maze Runner: The Scorch Wars' also stars Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Rosa Salazar, Barry Pepper, Lili Taylor and Patricia Clarkson. The film is scheduled for release on September 18, 2015.
