Pablo Picasso 2015: Painter’s ‘Women In Algiers’ Sold For $180 Million , Yet Madonna Compares Her ‘Rebel Heart’ To His

There are few people as iconic in pop culture over the past thirty years as American singer Madonna, having been dubbed the Queen of Pop after her long career in show business, even having won a Golden Globe Award at some point for her acting work in "Evita" - and in a recent interview, she compares herself to Pablo Picasso in 2015.

It seems like, for the past three decades, every little thing Madge says becomes the subject of controversy, and her latest Pablo Picasso 2015 comments are no different, as the singer has recently compared herself to the artist, often considered one of the greatest of the 20th century.

According to The Daily Mail, the context for Madonna's Pablo Picasso 2015 comments was her explaining how she wanted to continue to work until her last days, as other artists in the past have done before.

"I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso," was Madonna's Pablo Picasso 2015 comment to The Canadian Press recently. "He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so. Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that's how I feel."

As The Independent reports, fittingly enough, one of the singer's biggest hits of her career is "Express Yourself," which she has surely done over the course of decades!

Long before the Pablo Picasso 2015 comments, Madonna has accused the music industry of ageism regarding her career, as she's continued to create big shows and wearing provocative clothing for them, something that has prompted many news outlets around the world to call her out on trying too hard for her age, as the 56 year-old pop star is asked to tame down her act these days.

Of course, Madonna won't have any of that - and who knows, Pablo Picasso's 2015 saw one of the Spanish artist's paintings sell for almost $180 million, perhaps one of Madonna's albums could sell for a similar sum in a few decades' time!
