See Barry Allen's New Suit for Season 2 of the Flash!

It looks like Barry Allen will be sporting a new look when he zooms back into TV screens later this fall. The CW has just released the first images of Allen's trademark red suit and it looks like it's undergone a bit of a makeover.

The Season 2 suit features a different emblem on the chest. The signature flash lightning bolt now rests on top of a white background as opposed to the red emblem of season 1. Additionally, it appears the whole suit has been rendered in a darker shade of crimson than the original, but that could just be the editing of the photo. The new look brings the TV version of The Flash a little bit closer to his comic book counterpart.

The suit was the work of costume designer Maya Mani, who also designed the new outfit for the Green Arrow, the star of The Flash's sister show 'Arrow', played by Stephen Amell. Mani also created the costumes for heroes of the DC comics' TV universe such as Arsenal (Colton Haynes), Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Speedy (Willa Holland) and A.T.O.M. (Brandon Routh).

At the recently concluded 2015 San Diego Comic-Con,  Flash Star Grant Gustin hinted that the new season -- which picks up on the action several months after the cliff hanger finale -- will see "Barry dealing with some extra tension." Gustin says, "He knows that Eddie was ultimately the hero that stopped Wells in the finale and saved everybody. We find him struggling with his role as a hero. He's a lone wolf -- working alone."

New Faces coming to season 2 include Patty Spivot a possible love interest for Barry played by Shantel Van Santen and Jay Garrick, the first character to don the role of the Flash played by actor Teddy Sears.
