A bride was furious after she discovered that all of her honeymoon photos were blurred only to be told by the company that it's "unreasonable" to expect high quality images with its given price.
Kristy Fuller and her husband Richard Jackson had a trip to Brazil for their honeymoon in June, the newly wed used Kristy's digital camera that she bought for £40 in May.
Upon returning to their hometown, Birmingham, the couple realized that all of their 300 photos were blurred, Kristy told the Daily Mail.
Kristy complained to the company through their Facebook page, not expecting that she will be told that the quality of the camera is just at par to its price.
"As you can appreciate this camera is a very low end camera in terms of its specifications, this is why the camera has a very low price point," the customer service response.
"Due to both the specifications and the price it's unreasonable to expect this camera to take high quality images. However, if you feel that this item is faulty you will need to take it and its receipt back to one of our stores to discuss this further."
Kristy bought the Polaroid IE826 digital camera in a sale at the King's Heath branch of the store from £80 it went down to £40.
The camera was originally £80 so Kristy thought that she would get a "decent" item. She further added that they were very excited to see the pictures they took from the trip, thinking that it's a lifetime memory, only to find out that they don't have one decent picture to remember the trip.
She claims that she was not assisted properly by the company and have been refused a refund.
She said, "Straightaway, I tried to contact Argos on email and through Twitter. When I got no response, I phoned up and couldn't get through to anyone."
"In the end, I went into the store with the camera. The shop assistant took a picture with it and, when it popped up on the screen, she said: "It's not broken."
"I explained that you need to transfer the shot to a laptop and I offered to email her my honeymoon pictures as proof, but she said she wouldn't be able to accept them."
"I asked to speak to the manager but she just pointed out a small scratch at the bottom of the camera and said it was damaged so I couldn't return it. I was so upset.
