Famed audio company Marshall, known for its speakers, amplifiers, and headphones, has just thrown its hat into the smartphone market. Yesterday the 55 year old English brand revealed their first phone, simply dubbed the 'London'.
Given that Marshall is slapping their name on it, the London is of course, a phone meant for serious music listeners. The phone's description on Marshall's website reads:
The revolution has begun. It started way back in 1962 with the birth of the very first Marshall amp. It grew louder on a festival stage in upstate New York during the summer of '69. Each decade since it has grown stronger, burning an everlasting imprint on the lives of millions who choose to walk in its path. The time has come to witness the next chapter in this storied tale of rock 'n' roll. It's time to change the way you use music. Join the revolution.
What makes the London different from other Smartphones? Here are the key features that the brand is pushing:
FORWARD FACING SPEAKERS
Marshall claims the London might be the "Loudest Mobile Phone on Earth." The device's two front speakers should be perfect for getting the party started no matter where you are.
M-BUTTON
The London features a dedicated music button that gives you quick access to your library of tunes.
TWO STEREO JACKS
The Phone comes with two stereo jacks so you and a friend can plug in and experience the hi-fidelity sound quality.
The London is no slouch under the hood either. It features a Wolfson WM8281 audio hub so you can play higher quality music formats such as FLAC. It also comes with a robust global equalizer software so you can tweak the sound to your liking.
Other tech specs include a 4.7 inch 720p Gorilla Glass display, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 410 processor, and 16GB of on-board storage that can be expanded with a MicroSD slot. It's currently priced at 4,995 Swedish Krona and available for pre order now.
