After weeks of speculation about the status of their relationship not long after they got engaged, Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge are no longer an item after having been together for four years, after having had a baby daughter in 2012, Marlowe, in 2012.
Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge seemed like the happiest of couples for the longest time, even having been spotted earlier this summer in Ibiza together with little Marlowe - so what went wrong for the "Factory Girl" actress and her Tony Award-nominated beau, who's also Robert Pattinson's BFF?
According to The Sun, their schedules: as both Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge work nonstop on their careers, plus the extra pressure of having a little child at home, things had become difficult and strained for the famous couple, who ultimately decided to part ways - seemingly on fairly amicable terms.
A source close to the former couple told the UK publication that, in fact, Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge split up a few weeks ago and had been waiting for the right time to make the announcement, and The Daily Mail reports that this comes only two months after the "American Sniper" actress was spotted at this year's Cannes Film Festival without her engagement ring on her finger, something that prompted speculation at the time.
"They were in a bit of a rough patch for awhile," a friend of the actress told Us Weekly, when asked about the reasons behind Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge's split. "Their schedules on top of raising a child started to get to them."
The former couple met shortly after the actress split from on-again off-again love and often source of scandal, Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law, back in 2011; only a year later, their daughter Marlowe was born.
In the past, Miller and Sturridge posed together for Burberry, a British brand at one point also sponsored by "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson.
There have been no official comments from Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge's reps yet.
