Karl Lagerfeld brought out all his famous friends for his Spring/Summer 2016 Haute Couture collection for French luxury fashion house Chanel. The main attractions of the star studded runway show were undoubtedly Lily-Rose Depp and Kristen Stewart.
Lily-Rose, the sixteen year old daughter of actor Johnny Depp and French pop icon Vanessa Paradis, made her runway debut and wowed those in attendance while modelling a strapless black satin dress. An aspiring actress and model, she walked down the runway with Snow White star Lily Collins, who was also a part of the show.
Her mother Vanessa was not to be out done though. A noted friend of Lagerfeld's, she was also included in the runway presentation and walked on stage in a pair of flared trousers with matching blouse.
Twilight Star Stewart, a long-time favourite of Lagerfeld's, opened the show in a velvet rendition of Chanel's famous black jacket. Her 'Still Alice' co-star Julianne Moore was also one of the many celebrities who participated. She came out decked in an elegant long sleeved dress and was escorted by Gabriel Day-Lewis, the son of three time Academy Award Winner Daniel.
Other celebs who walked the runway included British pop star Rita Ora and the youngest Kardashian family member Kendall Jenner, who closed the show in a white bridal type outfit.
Lagerfeld's latest fashion took place in a casino and featured his pals playing a make believe game of poker, as models walked around them. Style.com has a breakdown of the setting:
"Called the "Cercle Privé," the collection took place inside an Art Deco-inspired casino constructed in the Grand Palais. Card tables were placed at the center of the runway and slot machines framed the venue's perimeter, while dimmed mood lighting created an intimate feeling."
