Vanessa Williams Looks Like Egyptian Goddess On Wedding Day

It was a flawless affair of Vanessa Williams' Egyptian-themed wedding to love the Ex- Accountant Jim Skrip. Before Vanessa Williams walked down the aisle to marry her businessman sweetheart on July 4 in the hometown of Jim Skrip, Buffalo, New York, Williams started the wedding weekend with a "Welcome to Buffalo" bash for the couple's family and friends.

The singer-actress had in her big day a wonderful wedding gown, which was designed by Carmen Marc Valvo. Williams wore a silky and streamlined sleeveless top and skirt, highlighted with a gold band in her waist, and a pair of pointed-toe T-strapped heels.

Vanessa Williams said: "It was magnificent. I felt like an Egyptian goddess, and that was exactly the theme I was going for."

Vanessa Williams stated that the Williams-Skrip nuptials was held at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, and the couple served their family and guests chicken wings, hot dogs with "slime sauce, stuffed banana peppers and fried fish that all the guest from out of town might not have tried before.

The couple had a mass of thanksgiving at the St. Stanislaus church, it is where the parents of Jim Skrip wed decades ago.

Williams said "The church that my parents got married in burned to the ground in the '80s, but they saved the angel from the church and put it in St. Stanislaus," Williams also said: "We thought, 'Oh my God, that's a fantastic symbol.' His parents were married forever and my parents were married until my dad passed."

Skrip stated of his Williams two-piece silk crepe skirt and top with gold trim: "When I saw Vanessa walk down the aisle, I didn't even notice her dress," Jim Skrip also said: "We locked eyes, and I got caught up in the moment, full of happiness and joy. When I finally noticed the dress, it was perfect for Vanessa ... sleek, simple and sexy."
