Fans of the Netflix series Daredevil would be glad to know that the show has been renewed for its second season and its photos of current filming has went viral online.
New cast has been announced for Daredevil 2 and its production is now reported to be on going according to Den Of Geek. Elodie Yung is one of them as Elektra. It took a while before the producers found the right actress for this role and when they finally found Yung, they knew she'd fit the part. Photos of her wearing the Elektra costume just made the casting directors proved they were right.
Aside from Yung, Jon Bernthal was also cast to play the role of The Punisher. The actor is currently preparing for his character by pretty much doing a lot of research by buying the comic books themselves. Bernthal is also famous for working on another hit TV series, which is The Walking Dead. He played the role of Shane Walsh. Him being The Punisher would indeed be intriguing, yet already can be viewed as perfect for his physique and aura.
Rosario Dawson could also be seen once again on this upcoming season, as producers of the show loved her as Claire Temple noting that she did a great job last season. Lots of fans loved her character, which is why the network didn't think twice of having her back.
IDigitaltimes also has some scoop regarding this much-awaited series and they reported that The Punisher will be the villain on Daredevil season 2 and Elektra will play some of kind of a heroine for stopping the bad plans of The Punisher. It's looking like the plot just got interesting.
