There's little doubt that Oreo makes the ultimate American cookies and has for more than a century, but the country still eagerly awaits any novelty Oreos flavors that might get released at any point of the year, like their latest summer treat, Key Lime Pie - though it's been getting some mixed reviews from food critics.
It's been a busy few days after the company announced the upcoming Oreo Thins, a skinnier version of the classic and well-loved cookie, and now they're taking on the adventure to find new Oreos flavors that could either just be around until stores run out or stay for the long run.
According to Consumerist, the latest among Oreos flavors, following the massive success of the 'smores Oreos, is the Key Lime Pie, which combines the graham crackers from the aforementioned novelty flavor with a variation of the limeade crème released last summer.

For now, the latest among Oreos flavors is a limited edition, but many food critics don't seem convinced at the perspective, particularly such a short time after the major cookie company released the skinnier version of their product, with She Knows suggesting that Oreo "go play outside for a while," as it seems they're trying to handle a little too much at the present time.
Another critic the Key Lime Pie has received is how they're striving away from their wafer and cream, both of which are considered classics, to try out other Oreos flavors - something that, while understandable, does end up going away from a product that has been loved by generations in its pure form.
Other novelty flavors have included Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Oreos and Red Velvet ones.
In any case, according to Pop Sugar, the new flavor is currently available at participating retailers across the country for the better part of the summer.
It's time to find one of the new Oreos flavors and be your own judge!
