Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a wrestler turned movie actor with a career on fire today.
Dwayne Johnson set aside his money and critical acclaim, as he recently experienced in his life which Dwayne concluded made him believe he truly made it as an actor.
Johnson revealed that the iconic director Steven Spielberg sent him a fan letter, that made The Rock say, it made him "grin like a big ass kid." The actor compares the feeling akin to that of the massive earthquake in his latest disaster film San Andreas. Johnson reacted more humble than arrogant.
The Rock stated in Esquire magazine, "About three weeks ago, I'm here at the house and I get a letter." the letter was from Steven Spielberg saying: "Been enjoying your movies over the years. Very entertaining. I feel like I've really gotten to know you over the years, most recently after watching you host 'Saturday Night Live.' Great job. You continue to go for it. Proud of your work and look forward to meeting you. Steven Spielberg."
Dwayne Johnson was asked by Esquire, is there ever a time that he went wrong trusting his instincts during his career. The Rock answered by quoting Spielberg, "I've never gone wrong trusting my gut. It was really the only thing that I had going into acting. I didn't have the background - Juilliard or performing-arts school or anything like that. You can get great people around you, smart minds and great resources, but it's still from here points to heart."
A great and inspiring quote of Steven Spielberg, "Movie making is always about noise. There's so many voices that you've gotta listen to. But you've always got to pay attention to the one voice that's in your gut that always tells you it's still not good enough."
