'Sons of Anarchy' Star Ron Perlman Pushes for 'Hellboy 3': "We Owe The Fans"

It is pretty clear that the world is still waiting for another sequel to the 'Hellboy' movies. The second movie, 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army,' ended with a major cliffhanger when Liz (Selma Blair) confirmed that she was having twins.

Hellboy himself is eager to find out what happens to Big Red. Ron Perlman has been actively campaigning for 'Hellboy 3' and even discussed some details with Variety.

Perlman pointed out that people have continued to approach him about 'Hellboy 3' after he tweeted about the sequel.

"I'll tell you the same thing I've been telling everyone else," the actor said. "The Hellboy saga was meant to have a beginning, a middle and an end, and that, if you were loyal enough to us where you came and watched both those two movies that we made, we owe you a resolve."

Perlman also spoke about what the future looks like for Big Red. The actor pointed out that Hellboy might be torn between living up to his destiny or sacrifice himself for mankind's safety. "That's the discussion of the third film; I think it's a discussion worth having, and I think it's something we owe the fans and I'm being very clear about that with," Perlman said.

The 'Sons of Anarchy' actor admitted that he hasn't spoken to Guillermo del Toro about the sequel, but hinted that the director has a script planned for 'Hellboy 3.'

"It's in Guillermo's head," Perlman revealed. "And he's shared enough of it with me to know that it will be mind-blowing. I mean it will be mind-blowing. It will be great cinema. And if you are somebody who followed the first two movies, it will be even more mind-blowing because we have something... if you liked the first one and the second one, we have something really rock 'em, shock 'em in the third one."

Perlman's most recent project is the Amazon thriller 'Hand of God,' which is scheduled to air in August.
