Sean 'Diddy' Combs Arrested on Assault Charge [VIDEO]

Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested at UCLA’s athletic training complex and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the university, "Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell."

"No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening."

A kettlebell is a round piece of weightlifting equipment with a handle, usually made of cast iron.

TMZ reported that the arrest followed a fight between Diddy and a strength and conditioning coach for the football team Sal Alosi.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation," UCLA head coach Jim Mora said in a statement.

"This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

Diddy’s son Justin plays for the team as a defensive back. He received harsh treatment from the coach which the rap mogul saw and later confronted the coach, grabbing him.

One source said, "an assistant coach was screaming at Justin on the field during a strength and conditioning session."

"We’re told the coach 'was riding Justin, screaming intensely at him.' Diddy watched the whole thing from the sideline."

A source connected with Diddy told TMZ that Diddy initially wanted to call police, but the phone was taken out of his hands.

Justin Combs, who graduated from Iona Prep in New Rochelle, N.Y., in 2012, accepted a full merit-based athletic scholarship to play football at UCLA. He turned down scholarship offers from Illinois, Virginia and Wyoming.

50 Cent put together a video mocking Diddy. They have been going after each other in public for years, and most of the time it's hilarious.
