'Kung Fu Panda 3': Jack Black Returns as Po in an Exciting New Trailer [VIDEO]

Jack Black is back as Po! The Dragon Warrior has a new adventure and a shocking new discovery: his real father is still alive.

The revelation will unfold in 'Kung Fu Panda 3,' and the new trailer from Dreamworks Animation offers a glimpse of Po's new antics.

The synopsis for the film reads as follows:

"When Po's long-lost panda father (Bryan Cranston) suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai (J.K. Simmons) begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible-learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!"

The trailer features a hilarious exchange between Po and an elder panda named Li Shan, who is looking for his lost son. Po admits he has lost his father as well. Diners at Mr. Ping's noodle shop watch expectantly for the pandas to finally put two and two together, but Po and Li Shan instead wish each other luck in finding what they are looking for.

The film marks the return of the Furious Five, made up of Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Viper (Lucy Lui), Monkey (Jacky Chan), Mantis (Seth Rogen) and Crane (David Cross). Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman), Mr. Ping (James Hong) and Oogway (Randall Duk Kim) will also come back to guide the bunch.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' will also feature new characters like Li, Po's biological father, and a new bad guy Kai. Rebel Wilson will provide the voice of Mei Mei.

The 'Kung Fu Panda' animated film series is one of Dreamworks' most successful projects, which has spawned three animated shorts and a Nickelodeon series 'Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.'

'Kung Fu Panda 3' will hit theaters on January 29, 2016.
