Justin Bieber's former bodyguard has been ordered to spend 45 days behind bars for stealing a photographer's camera in Atlanta, Georgia last year.
Hugo Hesny appeared at Fulton County Court on Monday after being charged with felony robbery following a bust-up with paparazzo Jason Winslow, who was photographing the Biebs while he was visiting the Sandy Springs Funhouse Arcade in the city. He admitted two counts of disorderly conduct.
Last year, the 'Beauty and the Beat' singer was at the amusement park, enjoying his time at the entertainment complex. Then things went downhill when the 33-year-old bodyguard spotted the paparazzi.
Hesner got into a confrontation with a photgrapher claiming that he had gotten too close to the pop star.
Winslow said Hesny chased him, cut him off, opened the door of Winslow's vehicle and took his camera.
Sandy Springs Police Captain Steve Rose said that he followed the photographer to a parking lot and took the camera without any intention of returning it.
Hesny initially told police he didn't take the camera but after officers found the camera in an SUV used by the singer's entourage, Hesny said he wanted only to delete photos taken outside the arcade.
The officer added that Bieber was not involved and the camera has been recovered.
According to TMZ, Hesny agreed to a plea bargain, admitting taking a $10,000 camera from Winslow.
He was sentenced to serve 45 days in prison, as well as being told to complete community service and anger management classes. It was reported that the bodyguard has since been cut loose from Justin's security team.
It wasn't the the first time Hesny has been on the wrong side of the law.
He also faced civil action from another photographer in Florida and was arrested in June 2013. Jeffrey Binion has accused Hesny of choking him and ordering him to delete pictures he had taken of the chart-topper while leaving a recording studio in Miami.
Bieber was sued for allegedly ordering his bodyguard to attack Binion, which the singer denied but eventually reached an agreement with the photographer.
