The new and 9th episode of HBO's Game Thrones for its 5th season is the biggest that has come to the series, as it shocked and divived fans on the twist it made on June 7. Fair warning, this article has a lot of spoiler alert for those who has not seen the episode yet.
CS Monitor said that even before this episode was aired, a lot of people have already been raving about its plot due to the scenes that involve sexual violence towards women from the beginning of season 5. It made even more news because of the rather disturbing scene that is of another level that was portrayed on this current episode. It has gone darker than before now that it also involves human sacrifice.
Vox Culture also made some comments about this episode especially when Stannis (Stephen Dillane) finally decided to just offer his daughter Shireen (Kerry Ingram) to win against the House of Boltons. The image of Shireen tied and set to be on flame was one of the most terrifying acts on the episode aside from the presence of the White Walkers of course.
Forbes did a run down of the other episodes of the series and they too gave a real good reason why this new episode is the biggest that the network has done. They did a good job for starting the season with a lot of set-up, just so the viewers would get back into the plot of the whole story. Then came mid-season and that's when things picked up really well for the show. By the time it reached the ninth episode, it is safe that they have predicted for it to go huge because that's exactly what fans could expect. It is so big that viewers would have to wait for another week to see what happens after that dark sacrifice a father did involving his own child, just so he could maintain his throne.
