After 27 years of marriage the couple who star in 'Little People, Big World' have announced that they already filed a divorce.
Matt and Amy Roloff have decided to end their long relationship as a couple. The parents of four kids announced on Friday that they have officially filed for a divorce. The couple said in a statement to Us Weekly that they have made a difficult decision and were very sad about it.
They also said in the statement that "We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful business."
Back in 2014, the pair also confessed that they have been having an unstable relationship. The couple also admits that they havebeen trying to fulfill their obligations as parents and run the family farm together while living apart.
Matt also explained that his relationship with Amy was not going well, although they tried to make the relationship work. He also recounts that he shouldn't have stayed with Amy in the past years under the same roof, feeling that he was a stranger in his own house. With that sentiment festering through time he felt that something had to change. As a result, Matt then moved out of their house and into the guest house.
Amy also said that she is very sad about what they're going through and that it was not her choice that her husband had to leave the house. She says it was his decision and not hers.
The couple don't have anything in mind right on now how to deal with what they are going through. The couple also added in their statement that they will be working side by side in fulfilling their responsibilities as parents.
Matt and Amy also express their gratitude in their family, friends and fans for supporting and understanding the ongoing trials they face as of the moment.
