[WATCH] Drone Sliced Enrique Iglesias’ Fingers Off

During a concert on Saturday night, Enrique Iglesias accidentally cut off some of his fingers. The accident occurred at his Mexican stop in Plaza de Toros de Playas, Tijuana. Surprisingly, the culprit was a drone.

The singer was grabbing a drone used to film his "Sex and Love" tour. "During the show, a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot," a representative for Iglesias said in his statement, via The Guardian.

As seen in the video below, Enrique Iglesias was holding the drone when his fingers accidentally came into the path of the drone's rotor. After he sustained the injury on his right hand, Iglesias then dropped the drone onto the stage floor.

But the representative continued to say, "Something went wrong and he had an accident." After the incident, Enrique was "semi-treated by crew on the side of the stage to try and stop the bleeding," as reported by Rolling Stone.

Doctors advised the singer to close the show, but Iglesias refused and performed for 30 minutes more during the gig. "He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show," said in the statement.

Additionally, the Spanish singer met with an ambulance after being rushed to the airport. "He was then put on a plane to LA to see a specialist," the statement reported.

Even audiences from the concert posted photos of the 40-year-old singer that had bloodstains across his white T-shirt. Photos immediately surfaced on social media.

The Tijuana concert had 12,000 fans in attendance. The gig was part of his world tour, "Sex and Love," which bears the same name as his latest 2014 album.

Iglesia's website reports that the next show for the tour is set for Mexico City on July 3.
