Fans of the series of "A Song of Ice and Fire" books written by George R. R. Martin may not be overjoyed with the fifth season of the popular HBO show based on the series, but the "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast sheets might bring some of their love back.
There's no "GoT" without some controversy, and this year, besides the fact that a few of the storylines have widely varied from the original source, there has been a lot of heavy criticism to the show over its treatment of one of the main characters, Sansa Stark - but there's one book character they might be bringing back from the books, if the "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast sheets are to be trusted.
According to Zap2It, the new "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast sheets were recently leaked, and one of the roles in it has gotten fans seriously excited over the possibility of a major plotline returning after being left out of the fifth season due to time constraints: the series will go back to the Iron Islands, where Theon Greyjoy (now Reek) is from.
Vanity Fair reports that, in the novels, Theon's father, Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) has long passed away at the point the series is currently in, and fans of the book series have been wondering for a while what's happening over at the Iron Islands - and now it seems like Theon's uncle, Euron, a major part of the books, will be making his first appearance on the "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast.
The original "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast sheet leaks came from fan website Watchers on the Wall, which has often broken major news about the popular show; and, among the character descriptions, there's also one that sounds very much like Randyll Tarly, Sam's fairly abusive father who was once a soldier ... and other related characters that may appear are Sam's mother, his brother and even one of his sisters.
Among the descriptions for the "Game of Thrones" season 6 cast there are others like Septon Meribald, who was supposed to be on this season instead.
