Beatles fans definitely got the surprise of a lifetime when Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl stepped on stage at Paul McCartney's recent concert on Saturday night.
Situated at O2 Arena in London, the ex-Nirvana drummer took a guitar in hand and performed "I Saw Her Standing There" with Sir Paul McCartney.

Fans at the London gig had another surprise in store for them. Paul McCartney performed "Temporary Secretary," a track that has never been performed live until the concert. The track stems from the album "McCartney II."
Rolling Stone coined the tune as "one of the 12 weirdest Paul McCartney songs" and "an insane highlight of 'McCartney II.'" The track was first released 35 years ago.
Grohl and McCartney have previously performed "I Saw Her Standing There" together with Dave on the drums as Paul sang the track at the 2009 Grammy Awards show.
Dave Grohl has also collaborated with the Beatles legend on "Cut Me Some Slack." The Grammy-award winning track was for Grohl's "Sound City" documentary.
Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear also chimed in for the track. McCartney describes the experience as "magic" while speaking to Rolling Stone.
"I knew who Dave was because I'd met him, and he said 'I have a couple of friends coming along.' And during the session I hear them talking: 'Wow, we haven't played since Nirvana.' So I found myself in the middle of a Nirvana reunion," Sir Paul shared.
Paul McCartney is set to conclude the UK leg of his tour this week. On Wednesday, May 27, Paul will be taking the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. The legend will be performing in Liverpool at the Echo Arena on the following day.
McCartney will also be performing as a headliner at the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware on June 19 and Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31.
