Cannes 2015: Macbeth Premiere Red Carpet [VIDEO]

Marion Cotillard played a queen in "Macbeth," and she embodied her character in real life as she arrived at the premiere looking like a bejewelled royalty of the red carpet.

In a blue-and-rose, fully-embellished strapless minidress from Dior's haute couture spring-summer 2015 collection, Cotillard dazzled as she posed alongside co-star Michael Fassbender and director Justin Kurzel.

The 39-year-old actress strayed away from the popular volimunous dresses of this year's Cannes Film Festival and flaunted her toned pins in a thigh-high hemline of her Dior dress.

She paired it with metallic silver, sky-high, pointed-toe heels and Chopard jewels. She also carried a medium-sized deep green clutch to complete her ensemble.

Marion Cotillard wore her dark locks in a chic, side-parted wet-look style, which complimented her sultry make-up, dramatic eyes and a natural-colored pout.

The French siren openly admitted that it was a challenge for her to take the iconic role in Macbeth.

"Well first of all with the language, Shakespearean English, and also it's kind of hard to talk about it," she told Hitflix. "I haven't seen the movie and I have no idea if what I did in this movie is good. I don't know. I lost control of everything in this movie."

Her handsome co-star, Fassbender, was looking very dapper in his black suit and a pair of black leather shoes. He finished off his look wearing rugged facial hair and a clean haircut.

The 38-year-old actor also revealed that just like Marion, this is also his first time to see his performance.

"I'll see it in Cannes for the first time," he told Variety earlier this month, noting that he did not try to perfect the Shakespearean language. "I'm a little dyslexic with the iambic pentameter. I just always tried to make sense of it, and hoped the rhythm would follow," he said.

'Macbeth' is based on a tragedy written by William Shakespeare.
