Earlier this week, fans of the new CW show saw the shocking finale of its first season, and not long after "The Flash" season 2 was confirmed by authorities in the network, the first sneak peek of the show is now here to keep fans waiting!
While the DC Comics projects isn't as all-encompassing as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (for DC, the movies and the shows aren't set in the same universe), their series are compelling in their own way, and "The Flash" season 2 is widely expected by fans after the shocking season 1 finale!
According to io9, "The Flash" season 2 will actually see the return of a major character, Tom Cavanagh's Reverse Flash, who will continue to be a series regular even though he was seemingly killed in the first season finale - but show runner Andrew Kreisberg has stated that he'll continue to be on the show.
Newsarama reports that other "The Flash" season 2 news include the release of a new teaser video of the show, which is set to begin its second season next fall, with Kreisberg stating that the second installment would be introducing some of the most daring special effects they've tried on the series so far.
"We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains. How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two," says Kreisberg in the video, talking about "The Flash" season 2 later this year. "We're really excited."
According to Cinema Blend, there are 5 changes that may be happening in "The Flash" season 2: Barry Allen will be much more confident in his powers, there will be a strong focus on multiple timelines, Cavanagh's return as a regular character (though it's unclear who exactly he will be playing), a few new members to Flash's team and more villains like Mirror Master and Doctor Alchemy!
