‘Magnificent Seven’ Remake Cast Includes Chris Pratt, Matt Bomer, Denzel Washington … Now Jason Momoa Leaves, Peter Sarsgaard Joins

In the latest wave of rehashings of old beloved material such as the newer versions of "Star Trek" and horror classic "Poltergeist" (as well as the return of shows like "Full House" and "Coach"), the "Magnificent Seven" remake cast stands on its own, featuring some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Not long after the first rumors surfaced saying the "Magnificent Seven" remake cast would be losing one of its biggest stars, Jason Momoa (who will be taking on the role of Aquaman in next year's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice"), as he had had a few creative differences, it's come out that "Jarhead" actor Peter Sarsgaard will be joining the cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers and director for the film are currently in the final talks with Sarsgaard to see him joining the "Magnificent Seven" remake cast, taking his place in a series of impressive actors that include two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington.

It was Variety who broke the exclusive news that Sarsgaard was about to officially join the "Magnificent Seven" remake cast, and they report that it's been a busy year for the dad of "Orphan," as he's already had two independent films come out this year at Sundance, "Pawn Sacrifice" and "The Experiment," both of which did well with critics; he will be starring in "Black Mass" alongside Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp later this year.

International Business Times reports that, while Momoa was set to play one of the major stars in the "Magnificent Seven" remake cast, the actor ultimately decided to drop out without giving much reason; however, sources close to the "Stargate: Atlantis" actor have stated that he found that his role was too minor and chose to depart from the project.

The amazing "Magnificent Seven" remake cast also includes Golden Globe winner Matt Bomer, Vincent D'Onofrio, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.
