After breaking hearts all over the world by appearing next to Chewbacca as Han Solo in the last teaser for "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," it seems like the rehashes of old films by Calista Flockhart's husband aren't anywhere near over, as Harrison Ford's "The Fugitive" is also getting a sequel.
Over the past few months, Food World News has reported other sequels and remakes involving the 72 year-old actor, including a planned "Indiana Jones" reboot (though it's unclear whether he'll be returning for the role) and even a "Blade Runner" one where he's set to co-star, and now it's Harrison Ford's "The Fugitive" getting a new version.
The Guardian reports that the new Harrison Ford "The Fugitive" film hasn't yet been confirmed by the production company, and much less by the actor's reps; it's unclear whether he'd be returning in the role of Richard Kimble.
It is also unclear whether his co-star in the original Harrison Ford "The Fugitive" film, Tommy Lee Jones, would be coming back in his role of obsessed policeman Samuel Gerard, the role that gave him his first (and only to date) Academy Award in 1994.
According to an exclusive story by Deadline, Harrison Ford's "The Fugitive," already a remake in itself (as it came from the famed television show by the same name) is currently being written by Christina Hodson, who has a project called "Shut In" currently in filming.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the new remake will see the return of the producers of the 1993 hit film (which grossed $487 million in the global box office at the time of its release), Anne and Arnold Kopelson, will be returning for the new film, though it's unclear whether this will be a remake or a reboot.
The actor is still recovering from a near-fatal plane crash earlier this year, which could potentially lessen the chances for a Harrison Ford "The Fugitive" return.
