Following the gripping revelation from last week's episode tying in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" to the ABC show, now it's time for "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 finale, which is everything the season has been gripping towards since the introduction of the Inhumans to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Last week, board member Robert Gonzales (Edward James Olmos) went to Afterlife to meet up with Inhumans leader Jiaying (Dichen Lachman) to talk about how SHIELD wanted to protect them from harm and prevent any of them from going rogue ... only to have Jiaying murder him; now, the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 finale will see the two forces standing against each other.
In the last episode, after murdering Gonzales, Jiaying made it look like she'd been shot to cause havoc among her peers, including her daughter Skye (Chloe Bennet), a SHIELD agent as well as an Inhuman - whose side will she take in the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 finale?
IGN reports that the two-hour "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 finale will consist of two episodes, 21 and 22, entitled "S.O.S. Part I" and "Part II," and things will continue where they were left in last week's "Scars," as Coulson (Clark Gregg) stayed back and a fraction of the team went up to Afterlife ... while someplace else, Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palacki) was stunned by Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33 (Maya Stojan).
Comic Book reports that Bobbi's kidnapping will also play a big role in the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 finale, as Ward will attempt to extract a confession from her for having messed with his new girlfriend Kara; in other words, trying to get Mockingbird (her yet-unrevealed codename from the original comics) to sing.
In its review of the two final episodes of the season (the show was renewed for a third season last week), Forbes states that the climax is "the most beautiful story progression and dramatic weight the show has ever produced."
