D.L. Hughley Son: ‘Unapologetic’ Comedian Opens Up To Oprah About D.L. Hughley Son Kyle’s Asperger’s [VIDEO]

It's been a tough life for the "Original Kings of Comedy" star, as the only D.L. Hughley son, Kyle (he also has two daughters with wife LaDonna), was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, when he was only a small child.

While D.L. Hughley's son is far from being a child now, the 26 year-old with special needs is evidently one of the cornerstones of the comedian's life, and in a rare interview, the star not only spoke once again about Kyle's condition and his struggles, but even broke down to tears when speaking about his boy.

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, the comedian spoke at length about D.L. Hughley's son, Kyle, who due to his condition has to stick to a very strict routine in his everyday life.

Asperger's Syndrome, a disorder within the autism spectrum, affects the person's ability to communicate and socialize effectively.

According to Hollywood Life, D.L. Hughley's son has a positive attitude towards life, which has been a relief for the family in a midst of a difficult circumstance; while it's been a tough road for them, young Kyle has been able to go through a life within the spectrum of normality, although "everything has to be the same," according to his father's words.

According to The New York Daily News, the comedian's open-hearted discussion about D.L. Hughley's son is fairly recent, as until not so long ago he wouldn't speak much about Kyle's condition in interviews - but as his son's struggles with the disease become bigger, the actor and comedian speaks out the most.

"So he comes back in and he gives me the receipt and the keys," the actor told Oprah about D.L. Hughley's son's recent venture out of his routine, according to The Daily Mail. "And I could not stop crying, because he did something he was afraid to do.' 'I just didn't believe he could do it. And I held him and I said, "You're gonna be all right."'
