Howard Stern Interviews Robert Downey Jr. About Controversial UK Interview – Iron Man Explains Walking Off Robert Downey Jr. Interview

As the new Marvel Cinematic Universe film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters this weekend in the US, the cast has been in a number of interviews, some of which have been fairly controversial, most notably one with the Oscar-nominated actor who plays Tony Stark - now, as Howard Stern interviews Robert Downey Jr., the actor sets the record straight.

A few days ago, Food World News reported on the original incident regarding Downey, when the actor was in the middle of the cast's UK press tour and was asked some uncomfortable questions about his past and family - nothing like his recent Howard Stern interview.

Previous Howard Stern interviews of the actor have shown the "Chaplin" star comfortable in his own skin when speaking to the iconic radio host, so it's no surprise to see that this is the place where Downey felt comfortable enough to speak about the recent experience that went viral online.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Downey's most recent Howard Stern interview last Tuesday saw the actor opening up about last week's inconvenience, where he famously walked out of an interview with British journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

Not missing a beat, the Howard Stern interview tackled on what everyone wanted to know: whether the "Tropic Thunder" actor regretted his decision to walk out of there.

"I just wish I'd left sooner," said Downey, according to NDTV. Stern then went on to say that public opinion mostly sided with him on the matter, to which the actor jokingly said that everyone should agree with him. "I'm one of those guys who I'm always assuming the social decorum is in play, and that we're promoting a superhero movie, a lot of kids are going to see it, and that just has nothing to do with your creepy dark agenda."

The Guardian reports that the Howard Stern interview also saw the 50 year-old actor calling Guru-Murthy a "bottom-feeding muckraker."
