Last year, the Oscar-winning blonde was in the middle of some heavy controversy, appearing in the public light during a red carpet event for the first time in years and looking widely different, though the actress then said that she hadn't gone through plastic surgery but rather a change in lifestyle, including Renee Zellweger's boyfriend.
Doyle Bramhall II, Renee Zellweger's boyfriend of two years, supported her through last year's media problems, while controversy about plastic surgery in Hollywood stirred once again, making stars like Reese Witherspoon speak out about the near-impossible beauty standards in the film industry.
Later on, Uma Thurman was also caught in the middle of similar controversy.
According to ABC News, the actress gushed about Renee Zellweger's boyfriend recently as they were seen walking the red carpet together during the ALS Association Golden West Chapter's annual benefit, called "One Starry Night."
The "Chicago" actress spoke to People Magazine about Renee Zellweger's boyfriend, saying she was "very, very happy" with him, saying the musician was a very sweet man and even amusedly commenting "isn't he cute?"
Zellweger's beau, Doyle Bramhall II, is a well-known musician in his own right, having with a long career in blues, having worked with the likes of Eric Clapton and Roger Waters, even having his own band, Arc Angels.
While all cameras were posed on Renee Zellweger's boyfriend, the "Jerry Maguire" star didn't make things about her during the event, as she explained that her focus on appearing at the charity event, which focuses on finding a cure for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a disease she lives up close as her longtime publicist and close friend, Nanci Rider, was diagnosed with the illness a few months back.
"We've learned that living with ALS does not mean being defined by the disease. She's a beautiful example of that," said Zellweger about Rider, according to The Daily Mail.
While the actress supports her friend, it's Renee Zellweger's boyfriend where reporters' eyes are at - and the "Down with Love" star doesn't seem bothered by it at all!
