Ever since "Iron Man" star Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she'd be separating from her musician husband of a decade last spring, Chris Martin's divorce has been making headlines all over the world, particularly when he was reportedly going out with another Oscar-winning American blonde actress: "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence.
It seems like there's news about Chris Martin's divorce just about every week, as the Coldplay singer makes headlines for his choice in women: from Lawrence to a supposed fling with Kate Hudson and even the possibility of him rekindling his relationship with Paltrow a few weeks back!
Now, according to The Independent, it seems that, after months of their respective lawyers talking about splitting their assets and the custody of their children Apple and Moses, the couple has finally filed for the Chris Martin divorce in the US, months after the infamous "conscious uncoupling" comments made by the "Shakespeare in Love" actress.
TMZ reports that the Chris Martin divorce documents were finally filed this week, after sources close to the former couple spoke to the gossip news outlet - and seemingly, they're just serving the formality of filing the paperwork, as they've already settled everything from property to custody in the past months since their split.
People Magazine reports that, in spite of the Chris Martin divorce, the former couple has remained quite amicable, getting homes in neighboring streets and even going together to their kids' school sports events to cheer for little Apple and Moses - so, while there's no news on what the custody arrangements are, it's pretty clear their very friendly split will allow both of them to keep joint custody of their young ones.
Supposedly, Martin's relationship with his ex is what caused Lawrence to end things with him, as she apparently felt they were still too close.
Further details of the Chris Martin divorce will surely be revealed soon.
