The last season of the show that made Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm) a pop culture sensation has recently started on AMC, and now it's time for its stars to talk about the great journey they've had since it first began in 2007 - and that includes Christina Hendricks "Mad Men" character.
A few months back, Food World News reported that the beautiful actress, who was an important character in the cult science fiction series "Firefly" a few years before the period AMC show, is now set to star in a Cameron Crowe pilot for Showtime called "Roadies," so after Christina Hendricks' "Mad Men," there's no doubt fans will see more of the beautiful and talented redhead.
Christina Hendricks' "Mad Men" character, Joan Holloway Harris, is a woman who went from being a secretary all the way to becoming the millionaire partner of the ad agency, an odd position to be in for a woman in that day and age - but the character had to fight her way to the top.
Now, as the show starts the run for its last seven episodes, Christina Hendricks' "Mad Men" interviews can be found all over the web; for example, she recently gave an interview to People Magazine in which she talked about how the show had completely turned her life around ... but she didn't stand the hairstyles she had to wear at all.
Apparently she insisted for years that Joan be allowed to wear her hair down, but ultimately her boss said her 'do was part of what made her look so interesting, and there's little doubt that Christina Hendrick's "Mad Men" look is the most copied from the show.
In another interview with Australian Women's Weeky, Hendricks was asked whether sexism was still present for women's work life, and she said she'd definitely found herself in a room full of men who only talked about her looks and never her career achievements.
For now, fans are ready to say goodbye to new episodes featuring Christina Hendrick's "Mad Men" character, which has landed her five Emmy nods throughout the show's run.
