Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 2 Episode 14 SPOILERS: Ward Returns, Hooks Up With Agent 33 – But Does He Still Love Skye? [VIDEOS]

Ever since the midseason premiere of the first Marvel Cinematic Universe show, the focus has been on the new-found powers in Skye (Chloe Bennet) and how the rest of the team led by Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) deals with them; now, in the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season 2 episode 14, a blast from the past appears as agent Ward comes back.

Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) was discovered to be a double agent working for HYDRA when the show tied in to "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," though it's known that his feelings for Skye were true - and apparently, even though he has a new girlfriend during the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season 2 episode 14, he's still after Skye.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season 2 episode 14 sees Ward's return to the team led by Coulson, and he's joined by Agent 33, played by Ming-Na Wen and Maya Stojan. Apparently, she's developed strong feelings for him since they met, seeing him as something of a father figure and also basically falling for him as the person who's set to protect her.

However, Carter Matt reports that, at least in the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season 2 episode 14, Ward is not about to correspond her feelings, as he's still hooked on Skye, even though she's made it perfectly clear to him that she has no interest whatsoever - and even basically hates him.

Mstarz reports that the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD season 2 episode 14 is entitled "Love in the Time of Hydra," and there's generally a strong focus on past and present love relationships between the show's characters, although there's more advance when it comes to Skye's newfound powers as Marvel Comics character Daisy "Quake" Johnson, as she's compared to Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
