Ted Cruz Twitter: Controversial Tea Party Senator Launches 2016 Presidential Campaign

As the first quarter of 2015 approaches its end with the last days of March, it's time for the first candidates for the US Presidential elections of 2016, and there's already a top candidate from the Republican party, after Ted Cruz's Twitter took the first step, as he announced his candidacy.

The 44 year-old Texas Senator went out to speak about his candidacy via Ted Cruz's Twitter, though not without giving a speech in a university in Lynchburg, Virginia, as he spoke publicly about everything he disagrees with in the Barack Obama administration and how he's planning to fight against it.

As Fox News reports, although it was Ted Cruz's Twitter that took all the glory of his presidential announcement, he also spoke about his presidential bid in a speech at the Liberty University in Virginia, as he stood in the crowd to officially say he was to "stand for liberty" through the country's difficult times.

"I'm running for President and I hope to earn your support!" was Ted Cruz's Twitter message last Sunday, as he posted a promotional video on his account, speaking about how a "new generation" was needed to improve things in the country, which, as ABC reports, could be a jab on Jeb Bush, who is the son and brother of former Republican Presidents and is reportedly also a contender for the GOP nomination.

According to Yahoo! News, following Ted Cruz's Twitter announcement, he took to the university, a Christian school, to take a step before anyone else in the field of Christian conservatives, as he also spoke about his Catholic beliefs due to his Cuban roots.

Cruz was peaking on the fifth anniversary of Obama's controversial health care law, the act that put Cruz in the public eye, as he spoke in the Senate for more than 21 hours against it. He's also said to have been a major part of the U.S. government shutdown of 2013.

Following Ted Cruz's Twitter announcement, other GOP possible candidates are Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio.
