Knight appeared for 'discovery hearing' on Monday in a Los Angeles Court. After the trial, Knight's attorney, Matt Fletcher, deliberately told reporters that the Suge Knight hit and run video clearly shows that his client was assaulted and he just acted for self defense.

"They started it ... They attacked him," Fletcher said. "You're not required by law to run ... If Suge had put it in park and got out, he's dead." Knight is being detained without bail. He pleaded not guilty for the on murder and hit-and-run indictments.

Fletcher is now representing the co-founder of Death Row Records after Knight has kicked out his two lawyers. Knight faces charges of murder and attempted murder after he ran over to two people on Jan. 29, killing the 55-year-old Terry Carter and injuring 51-year-old Sloan.

As claimed by TMZ, the first publishing that reported the Suge Knight hit and run video, it explains that the rap mogul will definitely be facing his payment in the murder trial for the crime he committed. However, Suge Knight hit and run video was allegedly a request from the Carter's family.

On Jan. 29, Knight had an argument with Dr. Dre whose filming NWA biopic "Straight Outta Compton" and in attempt to reconcile with him, he followed him at Tam's Burgers in Compton.

However, he was confronted by Cle "Bone" Sloan while in his truck. After a while he was seen moving away his truck and running over to Sloan and to the second man, Terry Carter. His defense attorney claimed that he tried to flee to escape from a possible attack that could endanger his life.

Suge Knight hit and run video supports that when one is attacked, you have the right to defend yourself, Fletcher claimed. He further said, there's no duty to retreat, there's no duty to hide or cower. You have the right to leave, Sky News reports.

Suge Knight hit and run video was shot through Tam's Burgers surveillance camera.

If the rap mogul will be found guilty of hit-and-run and murder, he could face up to life in the jail. Prior to this case, he is also facing convictions for attack with a deadly weapon and could face 25 years to life in jail under California's so-called 'three-strikes law.'

Knight was on bail for charges he's serving for stealing a camera from a celebrity photographer when the incident happened. He has also record of entering the prison for parole violation.
