Dallas Mavericks apparently suspended point guard Rajon Rondo for one game after a conduct that proved to be unfavorable to the team. Rajon Rondo's suspension stemmed from his insubordinate action to coach Rick Carlisle. It seemed like because of Rajon Rondo's clash with coach Carlisle during the third quarter playoffs with Toronto Raptors last Tuesday, the four-time All-star basketball player did not play in Wednesday playoff with the Hawks.
Also, according to a report from ESPNDallas.com, the two had another emotionally-charged matchup in the locker room when the game was over. After which, Rajon Rondo's suspension was announced a little more than two hours after the Wednesday loss.
Reports also said that this might lead to Rondo's turn as a Dallas Maverick to an end with his apparently very disappointing performance during the game and the dispute with coach Carlisle. Tim McMahon said so in a recent article posted for ESPNDallas.com that it is very unlikely that Rondo will stay with the Mavericks. Coach Carlisle, on the other hand, said that, "The events of last night are now in the past, and we've got to move forward."
He also said that Rajon Rondo is a very important part of their team. The team needs to play with him and so does he. With this statement, it seems like Rajon Rondo's supporters can still expect to see him play for Dallas Mavericks.
According to coach Carlisle, Rondo will be back to the starting lineup for Mavericks' next game at Saturday night opposing Brooklyn Nets. Coach Carlisle stressed that Rajon Rondo's plays are very important to the team and that his ability must be utilized so that the team will be able to get where they want to get to. Games sometimes just get too emotional and the two of them have already realized that they need to be better communicators to avoid having disputes again. They just have to move forward from whatever has happened over the past few days.
