Farrow is famous due to the fact that both of his parents have been in the film scene for quite a while, as the son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen (though it has been argued that he might actually be the son of Oscar-winning crooner Frank Sinatra), but Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show gave him some fame of his own ... until it was ultimately canceled.
Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show, "Ronan Farrow Daily," was the subject of news a few months back, when he interviewed former supermodel Janice Dickinson about her encounter with Bill Cosby at a young age, in a heartfelt interview that draw many people's attention - but the show was ultimately doomed due to extremely poor ratings.
According to Mediaite, the cancellation of Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show was only one of the cable network's recent cancellations, including "The Reid Report" hosted by Joy Reid, as well as moving Thomas Roberts from "Way Too Early" to a dayside anchoring job, as he'll be the face behind the desk in a 1-3 news show from 1 to 3 pm EST every day.
Politico reports that the move to cancel Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show came after "cataclysmic" ratings in the entire network, and they're now attempting to revamp the whole thing to try to remain relevant, after they registered early this month their lowest full-day rating in about a decade, with an average of 55,000 viewers in the 25 to 56 demographic, after January saw MSNBC's ratings dropping by a 20 percent total.
The Daily Beast carries on to wonder whether the end of Ronal Farrow's MSNBC show will also mean the demise of another one, namely Chris Hayes' "All In," as it is thought he'll be replaced by Rachel Maddow.
In any case, while Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show was canceled, the young lawyer and journalist will continue to work on the network, as the host of a series of primetime specials.
