Pizza is considered as all time favorite. Hence, because of this there are different varieties of pizza flavors all around the world. But National Pizza Day is different compared to ordinary pizza days that your family or friends are celebrating.
This year's National Pizza Day 2015 celebration, Ian Gonzalez made a very special pizza that anyone will surely enjoy to have on their plate, the Pepperoni Sausage Pizza with Bread Pudding.
Pepperoni Sausage Pizza with Bread Pudding on the National Pizza Day 2015!
Ingredients:
- 1 tbs. Butter
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 tbs. Olive Oil
- 1/2 c of Grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup chopped Onion
- 2 c of Shredded Mozzarella; have 1 ½ c of it and ½ c separated
- 2 minced Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 pound Pepperoni of ½ inch per strip
- 2 tbs. chopped Fresh Basil
- 1/2 pound crumbled Italian Sausage
- 1 tsp chopped or dried Oregano
- 1/2 c of Pizza Sauce
- 1 loaf cubed Bread, Italian or French
- 2 c Milk
- 4 large beaten Eggs
Directions:
In order to taste this mouthwatering pizza by Ian Gonzalez here are the steps to follow.
- First, preheat oven, 350 degrees F.
- Second, grease the deep baking dish using butter. Sauté over medium heat the prepared onions as well as. Afterwhich, mix in the basil plus the oregano; season it with salt and pepper.
- Lastly, remove it from the heat then let it cool.
After the first procedure, you are now ready to proceed to the second procedure.
- Put the prepared bread cubes in the baking dish.
- Then, whisk the eggs plus the milk. Put pinch of salt to taste as well as pepper.
- Stir in the garlic and the onions you prepared beforehand together with sausage, pizza sauce, 1 ½ cup of mozzarella, and pepperoni.
- Once done, pour the mixture of bread then slightly mix all the contents in order to ensure that bread is moistened evenly.
- Put in the remaining ½ c of mozzarella as well as the grated parmesan.
- Lastly, bake it for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then serve.
