As the next court date for the "Mean Girls" star approaches as she's accused of lying on her community service, she's at least trying to get points with the prosecutor, as it has come out that Lindsay Lohan's Esurance relationship didn't end with the hilarious Super Bowl ad but rather with the actress lobbying for a donation.
By the end of January, Food World News reported that the troubled star had gotten in yet another issue with the law, after the prosecutor dealing with her case stated that he had reasons to believe Lohan had lied on her community service hour count - now, Lindsay Lohan's Esurance lobbying tries to improve her chances at her coming court date.
According to UPI, while Lindsay Lohan's Esurance relationship began earlier this month with the release of a Super Bowl commercial where she made fun of her public image, she's more than willing to step up to her fame in this regard and give something back to her community.
The Daily Mail reports that Lindsay Lohan's Esurance tactic involved the actress contacting the company a few weeks after she appeared in the popular ad, asking them to donate $10,000 for CSV, the people with whom she went through community service.
However, TMZ, the outlet that broke the news about Lohan's lobbying for a donation, suggested that it was too much of a coincidence that the actress managed to get such a large sum to CSV only days before she's due back in court over allegedly miscounting her community service hours (after she apparently even counted signing autographs for fans), something that could suspend her probation and send her right into court.
Due to this, the outlet suspected that Lindsay Lohan's Esurance lobbying was more egocentric at heart.
"TMZ has stooped to a new low. To take Lindsay's positive efforts in supporting CSV and turn them into something negative simply to sell a story is offensive." Said Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Holley, regarding Lindsay Lohan's Esurance lobbying. "Lindsay has been involved in helping to raise funds for this wonderful organization since she started her community service there and she has continued her work as a volunteer, even though her community service was completed weeks ago."
