Ever since the 2013 release of the period Showtime series about sexology pioneer team Masters and Johnson came out, the critic and fans have flown towards the sexy and fabulous-looking series, and after the end of the last season in late September 2014, what's about to happen in the "Masters of Sex" season 3?
Fans of the Showtime series were left wondering about the future of the dysfunctional and very sexy couple of Michael Sheen (who plays Bill Masters in the show) and Lizzy Caplan (Virginia Johnson), but the network has kept tight lips about the future of the show - though, finally, the first "Masters of Sex" season 3 rumors have started to flood the Internet!
According to website Fashion Style, the latest from the "Masters of Sex" season 3 comes from the Showtime President himself, David Nevins, as the story of Bill and Ginni takes a time leap from 1961 (when they were stuck in a great number of places in their research and affair) to a point in which the two of them have already made headlines with their new discoveries about sex and sexuality.
As Ecumenical News reports, the last we saw from the characters was Virginia having to separate from her children (after her husband acquired full custody from them due to the fact that she worked constantly) and Libby (Bill's wife, played by Caitlin Fitzgerald) having an affair with Robert, a black man from the civil rights movement - quite the scandal if anyone were to find out out in the 1960s.
With that kind of background, the "Masters of Sex" season 3 should be insanely exciting from all points of view, particularly if it makes such a time jump - it'll be great to see how things work out a few years later.
CarterMatt reports that the "Masters of Sex" season 3 should be getting released in the early summer of 2015, just like the two previous seasons were in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
