After years of fans of the giant fast food franchise trying to figure out the secret behind the McDonald's Big Mac special sauce, those who are currently in Australia get to have it at home for the first time ever - will other countries get the same treatment?
Traditionally, Australia has been an interesting market for the home of Ronald McDonald, and the release of the special sauce only Down Under proves it once again, as the land of kangaroos will get to have this famous secret sauce on anything they want at home, well beyond McDonald's Big Macs.
According to United Kingdom news outlet Metro, for a limited time, Australian McDonald's Big Macs won't be the only place where Aussies will be able to try out a bunch of the special sauce, which is reportedly one of the menu items that people are most curious about its recipe.
As The Independent reports, the McDonald's Big Mac creators will be selling the sauce for the entire month of February or at least until sold out; the presentation will be a 25 ml tubs, and they'll be available in each and every one of the McDonald's locations throughout the country (a grand total of 920) and, amazingly enough, there will also be one exclusive 500ml bottle that will be sold on eBay, benefitting the Ronald McDonald House.
Also, due to the fact that it's now been launch as a purchasable product, Australian McDonald's has had to release the coveted recipe for the sauce - so, once the exclusive promo finishes, users will be able to make it at home!
Another interesting fact about the release of the McDonald's special sauce is that, according to The Daily Mail, there will also be a vending machine filled with the sauce tub that will be touring three cities of the Southern country throughout February: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane - asking only a tweet in return.
Now, at least for a short while, the McDonald's Big Mac won't be the only item in Aussie homes with the special sauce!
