Julia Louis-Dreyfus ‘Veep’: HBO Releases Hilarious POTUS Teaser! [VIDEO]

It's a good day to be a fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep," the political comedy that sees the "Seinfeld" star play a stumbling vice-president on the road to getting a bigger and more important position in American politics.

As the third season of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep" ended with her character, Selina Meyer, as the President of the United States, there's definitely a lot to be expected in the fourth season - like, for example, the series' traditional overuse of the word "POTUS" to refer to the President will be used about her, as Meyer battles against being the shortest-term President while trying to get her party's nomination for the upcoming elections.

As Entertainment Weekly reminds us, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep" ended last season with the dreadfully politically incorrect vice-president stepping up as the woman in charge of the country, after the never-seen President was surrounded by a wave of scandals and a desire to take care of his suicidal wife.

Of course, what fans around the world are expecting for the spring release of the new season of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep" is simple: a complete meltdown. As she barely struggled to keep up with the much lighter in work position of being vice-President of the United States, just about every other fan expects that things are about to turn weird at any second - and Selina's team and herself may not be all that equipped to handle it (but they'll fail hilariously!)

As Flavor Wire reports, the new "Veep" teaser shows Selina laughing maniacally onscreen, as she's now officially the most powerful person in the world - and the first woman to hold the POTUS office.

BGR revealed that, in a recent statement, HBO said the airdates for their most famous shows' premieres, including the April 12 release of the political comedy starring Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Matt Wash, Reid Scott, Timothy Simmons and Kevin Dunne.

Interestingly enough, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Veep" would be the second political series this season to see its star ascending from vice-President to taking up the Oval Office - right after Kevin Spacey's "House of Cards."
