Bantam Bagels ‘Shark Tank’: What Are Bantam Bagels?

After they made their way into the list of "Oprah's Favorite Things" of 2014, now Bantam Bagels' "Shark Tank" appearance might launch the dessert into the mainstream, as the Wall Street hopeful couple that created the dish makes its way into the competition.

As fans of the show already know, "Shark Tank" is a five year-old competition series from ABC, where entrepreneur contestants show off their inventions to a panel of "sharks" that talk about whether or not they find investment potential in their product - now, in the latest one, Bantam Bagels' "Shark Tank" could have a chance to grow exponentially!

According to Empty Lighthouse, the Bantam Bagels on "Shark Tank" presentation came at the hands of owners and former Wall Street hopefuls, Nick and Elyse Oleksak, who pitched their idea for mini stuffed bagels, as they seek $275,000 for an 11 percent stake, in a business now formally known as Bantam Bagels. While the business is currently only in New York City's West Village, it's possible to order the different types by the dozen online, though the couple is currently so very on demand (thanks to Oprah and a "Today Show" appearance) that they don't seem able to keep up.

Of course, as soon as the Bantam Bagels and "Shark Tank" met, it was an instant love connection: the sharks absolutely loved them! According to Carter Matt, the Bantam Bagels on "Shark Tank" got a deal quickly, as Lori Greiner was quick to snatch the product; its biggest challenge is to convince possible buyers that, even tough they haven't tried these mini bagels, they're so good they're actually worth ordering online.

According to Heavy.com, the Bantam Bagels on "Shark Tank" have been growing on popularity in the past few weeks - which, of course, is to be expected of a product that Oprah Winfrey loves. Their business consists of creating delicious mini bagel balls that are stuffed with cream cheese, with sweet and savory flavors that include things like a hot pretzel salt bagel with cheddar Dijon and cream cheese.

Sweetly enough, the couple that created the business was actually inspired by the entrepreneurs at "Shark Tank"!
