One of the most recognized figures in British television after decades working in the country's entertainments industry, news of Stephen Fry's fiancé has took the land of Brits by storm, as the quiz show host is to marry partner Elliott Spencer, a man thirty years his junior.
The 57 year-old actor and quiz show host (as in his country he's the face behind the longtime BBC show "QI") has recently announced who Stephen Fry's fiancé is, and the world is eagerly looking forward to hearing more about the man who is to become the husband of the wildly famous actor and comedian.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the announcement regarding Stephen Fry's fiancé came at the very start of 2015, on January 6, as the actor confirmed via his Twitter account that he'll be getting married to partner Elliott Spencer, with whom he's been in a relationship since 2014.
For a while, it had been known that Fry and Spencer were an item, as the couple had been spotted spending holidays together and even attending award shows hand in hand: The Daily Mail reports that Stephen Fry's fiancé joined his beau to the Tony Awards last June, as well as posting a photo on Twitter of a holiday they were spending in Florence with Academy Award-winning actress Emma Thompson; they've also been seen together at the London Savoy Hotel as well as the Berkshire Ascot racecourse.
"Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag," Fry tweeted last Tuesday, according to the Irish Times. "I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"
The comedian and actor has always kept his private life to himself, but it's not an easy feat with his huge celebrity status at his home country. Of course, news outlets around the world have been poking fun at the fact that Stephen Fry's fiancé is about 30 years younger than the actor - but, as Slate Magazine states, so what?
