Now that the older of the First Daughters of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama is about to graduate, the possible Malia Obama college choices have become news, as she is said to be going to one of the most liberal cities in the country.
Seeing as she's the daughter of an American President who was in Harvard and a lawyer from both Princeton and Harvard, it's no surprise that Malia Obama's college choices are among the top schools in the country: not only is she inspired due to her position, but also because she comes from a family of, well, overachievers.
Now, as high school graduation approaches, 16 year-old Malia has been weighing down her choices, according to Valdost Daily Times. Her father Barack has said in the past that his oldest daughter, born in 1998, is hoping to become a filmmaker when she grows up, so it's no surprise that Malia Obama's college eye seems to roam towards the West Coast, as California has a long filmmaking tradition.
Over the past summer, different news outlets reported that the two places where Malia Obama's college eye was set on presently were both in Northern California: the most important sought-after public university in the state, Berkeley, or the more conservative Palo Alto college Stanford University, famous for alumni like another First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, the only child of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Now, if Malia were to choose Berkeley, according to The Inquisitr, she'd be going to the most liberal school in the country - and even the most liberal city, as shown by a study published by Business Insider not too long ago; actually, Berkeley has recently become the first city in the United States to create a tax for soda cans and bottles, in a desire to protect its community from the obesity epidemic.
In any case, Malia Obama's college choices are among the very best in the country, but no surprise there, as WebProNews reports - surely, whatever she picks, she'll become a great filmmaker in a few years' time!
