The actress best known for her roles in science fiction films, like the lead Navi character in "Avatar," and playing Uhura in the new "Star Trek" films is fiercely protective of her privacy, and has kept quiet since the birth of her children ... but now, Zoe Saldana's twins names have been released to the public!
The star didn't technically release news that Zoe Saldana's twins were coming, but rather good friend and "Crossroads" co-star Britney Spears, who talked a little too much in an interview in the summer of 2014 about how Saldana was carrying more than one little guy or girl in her belly, after she had announced her pregnancy during the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
According to The Huffington Post, her rep confirmed Zoe Saldana's twins as two baby boys, releasing a statement in the name of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star.
"Actress Zoe Saldana and her husband, artist Marco Perego, have welcomed twin boys, Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana," the statement read, according to Us Weekly. "They were born Thursday, November 27th in Los Angeles. Mother and sons are happy and healthy. Zoe and Marco are so grateful to all of the fans for their incredible support and beautiful wishes. The family is also appreciative of the respect of their privacy during this exciting time. Thank you!"
Pictures of Zoe Saldana's twins have yet to be released, as the actress continues her trend of keeping her personal life a private affair - though she did go on Twitter and Instagram to thank her fans for their support over the birth of her new children with husband, Italian artist Marco Perego, whom she married in a secret ceremony back in 2013.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the beautiful actress who will be playing Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic didn't show Zoe Saldana's twins, but rather a sweet picture of the family's dinner table, including bread and cheese for Saldana and Perego and a couple of bottles for Cy and Bowie - plus two adorable plushies!
Congratulations to the happy family as they kick off 2015 with love!
