Fisher walnuts, salmonella contaminated are being recalled by an Illinois company, which were believed to be distributed online and in stores across states including Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
The recalled products were not only Fisher walnuts, but also 8-ounce plastic bags of Fisher Pecan Cookie Pieces CBS News reported. John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc. (JBSS) of Elgin, Illinois announced that they are recalling Fisher Pecan Cookie and Fisher walnuts, salmonella contaminated.
According to Food Safety News, those products with BEST BY DATES listed below must not be consumed and must return those products for refund or replacement:

Products such as Fisher Pecan Cookie and Fisher Walnuts Salmonella contaminated are caused by various reasons including contamination during food processing or food handling, contamination caused by poor hygiene, contamination with feces of animals, contamination caused by handling reptiles, ducklings, baby chicks and small rodents.
Salmonella symptoms include abdominal cramps, vomiting, headache, chills, fever and diarrhea that could develop from 12 to 72 hours and could lasts for 4 to 7 days according to Web MD.
