Louis Van Gaal, Manchester United's current manager is on the hunt for three South American stars as he overhauls the Red Devils in order to fight its way back on top of the English football.
The 63 year old Dutch has been receiving criticism regarding his managing prowess despite Man United confidently in the third spot in the Premier League. Last Saturdays draw with Aston Villa marked Manchester United's tenth point in the last eight games. Van Gaal has been very vocal about his plans to acquire players with more attacking power in the midfield to compliment one of the greatest attacking strikers in the attacking end of the Manchester formation.
The first of the three that caught Van Gaal's attention is Uruguayan football sensation Edinson Cavani. The superstar has already played in Europe's top footballing clubs. First in Italian club and then with Napoli which turned him one of the most wanted footballer in European football.
Cavani was eventually bought by French club Paris-Saint Germain after scoring 78 goals in 104 appearances for Napoli. He was reportedly bought for 64.5 million Euros. Despite being left in the wing to give way to Zlatan Ibrahomivic, Cavani still hasn't lost his touch. Despite winning the Ligue 1 last year, Cavani might still consider moving out of PSG in order to play the more central role of a main striker. Right now aside from Manchester United, English club Arsenal is also battling out a deal to buy Cavani.
Cavani who is only 27 years old, is gifted with a strong and pacey footwork his inclination in playing the counter attacking style of football really fits the kind of play that Manchester United loves to make.
In case Cavani makes the move to Old Trafford, he will be joining three other South American players Nico Gaitan and Enzo Perez who have been carefully watched by Manchester United scouts for quite some time already.
