Will "The Interview" Still Be Out In Theatres? Sony Pictures Uploads New Trailer For Supposed Cancelled Movie

The Guardians of Peace hackers have threatened Sony Pictures of a possible attack likened to the September 11 terrorist attack on the Twin Towers that has shocked the world. Due to this, the company has pulled out the plug for the showing of 'The Interview' scheduled to be showing in cinemas on December 25, 2014.

However, the company has just released another trailer for the said movie on their official YouTube page and it has come just hours after they have announced the cancellation of the movie as major theatre companies opted out of showing it fearing a possible violence.

The new trailer uploaded is only 32 seconds as compared to the minute and a half trailer previously launched. It showed the stars of the film Seth Rogen and James Franco getting into different hilarious situations and doing a lot of antics as they invade North Korea in order to kill the dictator Kim Jong Un.

It also has a message towards the end that says "In Franco and Rogen we trust" then it promotes the movie's release still on December 25. In the video's caption, it also reads: "Only one movie has the whole world talking. In Rogen and Franco we trust."

A lot of people are saying that the threats are from North Korea as they really don't want the movie to be shown since it is mocking their dictator. Other reports suggest that the threats and the hacks are basically just a marketing strategy in order to cause hype for the following movies of Sony Pictures that are to be released.

Sony Pictures have not yet released another statement as to what they have decided to do as the new trailer has emerged.

Meanwhile, Sony announced this yesterday: "In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned Dec. 25 theatrical release."
